The HELIUM Jam Wheels are the culmination of extensive research, resulting in high-performance indoor/outdoor wheels. Specifically designed for Roller Derby and Jam Skating, these wheels offer a perfect blend of high rebound and excellent roll, combined with an incredibly tight grip. High rebound means the wheels can smoothly roll over small obstacles or rocks without stopping abruptly.
Roll-Line has engineered these wheels to achieve properties that are typically hard to combine: super tight grip and good roll. The design features a large rigid hub and a smaller, thinner tread, making them some of the tightest and best-rolling indoor/outdoor wheels available. The hub is incredibly strong, very light, and manufactured with extremely close tolerances for roundness, trueness, and the cage where the bearings and spacers are mounted.
The Roll-Line HELIUM Tread is made from a cast urethane high-rebound compound formula, slightly harder than the HYDROGEN, yet it provides a very tight grip with minimal tire compression. This lack of tire compression, along with the thinner tread mounted on the Roll-Line Hub, ensures a very smooth roll.
